Diamond was presented with the opportunity to create a promotional video for Janet Jackson, inspired by the late Michael Jackson’s iconic song “Do You Remember The Time.” Diamond has been an ardent admirer of Jackson since childhood, and the prospect of honoring him through Janet was an extraordinary experience. The video gained widespread attention, being featured in prominent publications such as TMZ, ABC, USA TODAY,

and Vibe magazine.

During his studies at Chapman University, Diamond crafted this short film while pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Directing. Notably, it marked his transition from directing comedic social media videos to delving into the realm of cinema. It was also his first drama.

The production was a two-day shoot, with an additional day spent filming at a house to enhance the aesthetic appeal and maintain the contemporary style that audiences appreciate. Diamond harbors the aspiration to develop an original musical, and the proof of concept for “The Master of the House” served as a pivotal catalyst in honing his essential skills.

The project was selected  at the Academy Qualifying Los Angeles Film Festival.

Diamond took a step back from directing and produced his first project, Vigilante. This opportunity allowed him to delve into the creative process of a science fiction narrative centered around superheroes who fail to support inner cities. This project also served as a stepping stone for Diamond’s growth as a filmmaker, transcending his role as a director.

The film delved into the rich cultural heritage of Haiti, Missouri. Diamond explored various visual storytelling techniques to establish his distinctive style in this production. 

FAU OWLS RISING

Diamond Batiste expanded his creative horizons with FAU Football: Owls Rising, his first sports documentary series, which was also adapted into a feature film starring Chris Carter. Co-created with billionaire Shawn Meaike, this gripping series highlights the Florida Atlantic University football program’s make-or-break season under Coach Tom Herman, weaving in groundbreaking NIL deals and the personal struggles of its players. Featuring appearances by NFL stars and Steven A. Smith, this project underscores Diamond’s versatility as a filmmaker, proving his ability to excel across genres and tackle any type of production with authenticity and impact.

Diamond Batiste took on one of his most ambitious projects yet with Master of Me, a six-episode docu-series starring A-list icon Keke Palmer. This intimate series explores Keke’s incredible range—from creating films and recording music to building her podcast and expanding her brand with Key TV. Featuring candid interviews and behind-the-scenes moments, Master of Me highlights Diamond’s ability to capture the resilience and artistry of one of entertainment’s most dynamic talents, solidifying his reputation as a visionary storyteller.

Diamond Batiste had the incredible opportunity to work on All I Stole for Christmas, a project he holds close to his heart, starring Kel Mitchell—an actor he grew up admiring. Sponsored by Canada Dry Ginger Ale and produced in collaboration with Sony and National Lampoon, this holiday heist comedy blends adventure and heartfelt moments, showcasing Diamond’s knack for creating engaging and imaginative stories. Working alongside one of his childhood heroes was a milestone moment, solidifying his passion for storytelling on a studio level.
